What are the rates?
Launch rates: Sunday–Thursday, US$150/night in low season (May, June, September, October), US$175/night in shoulder season (April, July, August, November), and US$200/night in high season (December, January, February, March). On weekends (Friday and Saturday), rates are US$170, US$195 and US$225 per night respectively. The base rate covers 1–6 guests; 7 guests add US$15/night and 8 guests add US$30/night.
How do we get here from SJO airport?
Punta Leona is approximately 80–90 minutes by car from Juan Santamaría International Airport, depending on traffic. We’ll share private arrival directions after your booking is confirmed.
Do you recommend renting a car?
Yes. A car gives families the easiest access to beaches, groceries, restaurants, and day trips. A standard vehicle is usually sufficient; please confirm current road conditions before arrival.
How does beach access work?
The house sits inside Punta Leona, and the Punta Leona Beach Club & Nature Resort has pools, restaurants, a supermarket and direct access to Playa Mantas and Playa Blanca. Guest access is US$10 per day per person.
Where can we buy groceries?
There are convenience stores and supermarkets toward Jacó. We’ll provide our recommended stop and opening hours in the arrival guide once verified.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is arranged directly with Catalina, the owner. Arrival window, directions and a local contact are shared securely before your stay. Final check-in and check-out times are pending host confirmation.
Is the home accessible?
The home is on the second floor and requires stairs. It may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility; please contact us before booking if anyone in your group has accessibility needs.
What are the house rules?
No parties and respectful quiet hours are expected. Smoking, pet, and visitor policies are pending host confirmation and will be clearly shown before you commit.
